Look in the mirror, what do you see?
Do you ever say, "Yeah, that's me"?
Or is what shows up in the glass
A person you wish wouldn't last,
A person that never seems up to snuff?
Do you wish you'd disappear in a puff
Of mystery, with no one the wiser?
That girl in the mirror, everyone denies her;
They never look beyond the polished
Portrayal of sanity that was demolished
Long ago by fear, pain, and anxiety.
She wishes to be rid of her sobriety
So she can once again indulge in self-injury.
She wants so desperately to be free
From the confines of the sand
Melted down into a pane that remands
Her into that terrible reflection
That doesn't reflect the perfection
She sees herself as inside her mind.
What she'd give to be seen as kind!
As smart, as beautiful, as worthwhile!
But wishful daydreaming only serves to beguile
Her young heart into believing that one day
Other people will see her that way,
And if she's learned anything in life thus far,
It's that she is nothing if not sub-par.
How I currently feel in my depressive state.
At least being miserable gives me writing inspiration?

This is wonderful and I recognise a lot of it.
